If meat is so good for you...as many in this country are starting to claim...how come every doctor and medical professional still recommend more fruits, veggies and whole grains? As for your theory that everything has been shown to cause cancer...find a study where fruit, veggies, whole grains, or n...

Well, there is nothing I can say, or research I can point you to that will do any good. It's already too late. You've been turned into a brainwashed drone. The BS is there to stay. The only way back is to be away from it for a long time and logic and reason will eventually take over. But I doubt th...

Good info. The PRO part might not be true. It is vegan vs nonvegan. So this includes lots of people who eat junk food, and don't exercise which skews results in the vegans favor. Having known people who ate that way I can tell you many of them are actually what I would call "breadatarians", which i...

OOOOOO, tread carefully. Tell her she didn't get fat in 3 weeks so she shouldn't expect to get skinny in 3 weeks. No, don't do that. All you can do is be supportive and encouraging. Ask one of your friends to say something to her. Maybe something like, "Dang baby, if you weren't with Mog16...." Wel...

Re: deadlifts twice a week?

Good or Bad Idea? I guess we must have scared him away! ;-) I did not mean to invoke the wrath of the hardcore lifters here...I know there is no question that the answer is 100% everytime in the realm of fitness...but I did not expect to start such dissent among everyone here! I'll just keep doing ...

Ok...I'll specify...I try to do deadlifts in a way that works mostly legs and butt the most...and obviously lower back does factor in. I use as much weight as I can, three sets, and 10 times each. Right now I am doing around 205-215 10 times twice a week. Some dude told me I would overtrain doing th...

I have tried it and found it really difficult to sleep - especially following a very taxing workout using heavy deads, squats and oly lifting. Cardio doesn't seem to bother me, however. Give it a try and see how it works out for you. See...I was betting cardio would wake me up but lifting would be ...

working out before bedtime

Quick question...is there anything wrong with working out (strength training wise) around 11:30...when I plan on being in bed around 1:30-2:00? A buddy of mine wants to start lifting with me and this would be the only convinent time for the two of us. Right now, I pretty much lift about 30 minutes a...

Re: Weighted dips and flyes for chest

Good alternative to benching? Good enough I should ask... Just curious - why are you looking for an alternative to benching? Most lifters can't seem to get enough of it. Not me, though. I can flat barbell bench every now and then, but doing it regularly causes big time shoulder inflammation. Since ...

I try to use more leg with deadlift stuff than lower back...and with straight legged deadlifts, I use almost all hamstrings for it. I might switch deadlift out on one of the days and do lunges instead, perhaps on the third day.
