Re: Need advise on a program i designed for my buddy

By football, I am assuming you mean real football and not soccer... How old is the kid and what is his training age? What position does he play? The second question is really important as I'd design a program different for the big uglies than I would for the speed guys. This is especially true for a...

Re: video recap of may

You are looking a lot stronger. The tremmors look less and you seem to have a lot more control of you body. Keep up the good work. One piece of advice - you are having some victories. Put some of you stuff to AC/DC Back in Black or something like that. Be proud of your work. Victories are victories ...

Re: Beginner - Trying to design my first program

Fat loss and muscle gain, naturally, can't happen. You need excess calories to build muscle. You need negative calories to burn fat. You WILL get stronger as your body adapts to handle the weight, but generally, you can't gain muscle without a surplus of calories. Don't let that disuade you, though....

Re: Beginner - Trying to design my first program

You are going to have to rethink your goals. Losing 30 pounds of fat and gaining 20 lbs of muscle isn't going to happen. You are going to have unrealistic expectations. I'm going to interpret your main goal is that you want to look better and feel better. You are going to get stronger regardless due...

Re: The Belt

Don't use the belt. It is plain and simple. If you don't need it don't use it.

Re: The Belt

You missed my point Crow (primarily because it was poorly made). 1. Most people don't know how to use a belt so most people don't get any benefit from using a belt. Consequently there is no need for a belt. 2. It is my belief that unless your goal is to move big weight, there isn't much need for a b...

Re: The Belt

I would say that 95% of the people have no idea what the point of a belt is and even less know how to use it properly. I believe a belt is absolutely necessary if you are going to squat big weight. Big weight is relative. I participated in a study this past fall where a raw squat was used. I worked ...

Re: Rep set confusion

You'll get bigger if you eat and lift. You'll get bigger quicker if you lift in the high rep range. You'll get stronger quicker in the low rep range. Both will make you stronger. Both will make you bigger. Go with what you primary goal is
