Re: Rep set confusion

If you want to get bigger, try going lighter with higher reps - 7-12 range. What robertscott said too, if you don't want to get rid of your heavy work. More importantly, eat. When you are full, eat some more. When the site and smell of food makes you nausiated, eat some more. Eat clean as you can, b...

Re: Strength Training Post Surgery

I had to have surgery to repair my torn bicep (distal) in August 2012. http://www.rushortho.com/pdf/Distal%20Biceps%20Repair.pdf That's pretty major surgery for the arm. I was in the gym a week after surgery doing machine work for my legs and right side of the upper body. By week three I had my safe...

Re: DeadLift always gives Hip pains.

I've given up on the DL. My form sucks and it tears my body to pieces. I'm also the world's tallest midget. I've got short arms and legs and a long torso. I've said time and time again, and this time I mean it, I will never deadlift again other than at a meet. I'm 42 and no longer care that much abo...

Just to clarify stu... the white devil comment was a joke. I do say stay away from them if you want to get lean. Otherwise they are perfectly fine.

Re: New and need help.

What Crow said. Don't worry about supplements. The only one that works is creatine and you can get what you need from eating meat. Protein powder is nothing more than highly processed food. Don't let anyone tell you different. Use it for convenience. There is no such thing as toning. It is almost im...

Re: Is squat and deadlift replacable trough isolation?

I also think you should train back with 8-12 reps instead doing 1-3 like in squats. How many accident powerlifters have is just mind blowing. People really need to think realisticly body function instead being meathead for all marketing in some arnold era caveman training. If they would open their ...

Re: Is squat and deadlift replacable trough isolation?

I guess its best for athlethic purpouse where you need get full body for maximal force. But for regular joe who trains for health and looks I would avoid doing them alltogether. I consider squats extremely bad excercise. Whats point doing only 20% of hyperextension? I rather do it 100% in good morn...

Re: advice on running shoes

Hey!!!!! There are some shoes I'd do fine in. I did google the shoes and there are some apparently Chuck Taylor look alikes. Only, I aint paying 675 for a pair of squat shoes. Well, that's a lie. If they gave me 100 lbs on my squat, I'd buy them.

And a proud gear whore. Learning to lift with gear has been one of the most difficult challenges I've ever done and I'm still learning.
