Yea if you scratch the going light part, lower the sets, increase the rest and make the reps lower. Or change it to pyramids. It looked like she was an athlete, just one who didn't do weights. I figured the 1 set of everything routine wouldn't cut it. Maybe I misread it though. It probably would hav...

By tight funds I read, can't afford gym. By tighter time, I read no time for driving anyway. From what you are saying it looks like less at a time on more days would probably be helpful too. First get Some adjustible dumbells. Since time is tighter you might want 2 or 3 pair and plenty of plates. Ma...

That's just it though. Wrist straps are like the dark side. Once you got down the wrist strap path forever will it dominate your lifting. hehe :) If you use them you will continue to need them unless you want to go light for a long time untill you're forearms catch up. If you never use them your for...

If I was competeing I woulnd't wear gloves so I would build up callouses. Not wearing gloves isn't bad, you just have callouses if you lift heavy. If I forgot my gloves, most days it wouldn't matter. On the day I do most of my pull stuff, my hands might be slightly sore for an hour or two. Also no b...

The basic compound lifts are great. Drop the extra curls on Friday, but add something to target lateral delts like upright rows or lateral raises. Make sure you do something for lower back, abs and hams too. I like the healthy life protein bars at Aldis and they are cheap. The Atkins ones are good t...

I might try that. The worst ones are on the middle fingers, but the ring fingers have them too. The gloves keep the palms undercontrol. The middle fingers are even thicker then my guitar callouses.

Nunya, mass building is the best way to get fat loss. Weight training of any kind, according to articles on this site, burn 9 times as much fat as cardio. Cardio is for working your heart and lungs, not loosing weight. It can be used to burn a few extra calories though. If you look into it, you will...

gloves

Anyone know of some decent gloves with fingers that are a little longer then usual. All the gloves I have seen go to just a hair below the middle knuckle. It would be nice to have some that go to maybe halway between the middle and top knuckle. I have got some wicked calouses on middle fingers. Anyo...

3 being a hypothetical number. I was just wondering if you have to do more sets. I would think you would, but I think you are saying you don't. If 3 sets to failure does the trick, not going to failure you might need 5 or 6. Who knows though, it must be different for everyone. I just know I can do 3...

I see some slight shoulder movement. He isn't using his delts or momentum to do the lift though. I am not sure what this has to do with what I was telling Nunya. He said going heavy on curls makes him swing. I told him keep his upper arms still so he doesn't use momentum or his delts. Telling someon...

You're not overdoing it at all. You're going to be lopsided so to speak though. I think your fears are unfounded, but hey, your entitled to your beleifs. What about puting a weight plate on your back when you do pushups or doing weighted dips? Or does that worry you too? Your biceps, by the way, jus...

Let's say squats for example. I do 3 sets to the point where something is fatigued enough to where I would not be able to maintain form for another rep. Are you saying I could lower the weight slightly so I could get all the reps without quite getting to failure and just do the 3 sets, or would you ...
