You could do a 4 day slip, or a squat/push/pull split. I just think it exhausting to do back, biceps and shoulders in the same workout, especially in you include deadlifts for back.

I noticed that my actual strength was pretty good, but my muscular endurance fell off sharply. This is pretty normal for me following a layoff and should be back to normal in a week or two. Also, at the end of my workout, I tried doing a few hang cleans and hang snatches with an empty bar just for t...

Supposedly a wider grip targets lateral delts a little more since it brings the elbows farther out to the sides.

If you do close-grips, do them after your regular benching ... not before.

Lowering the bar to the middle or lower chest would involve the lower pectorals more. Also, the closer your elbows are to your ribs the more your front delts will be involved. You can also try close-grip bench presses for front delts and triceps. Don't go super narrow on these. This puts a lot of st...

I've never "twitched" after a workout, but I have had muscles shake involuntarily from fatiuge. I used to get this a lot, especially in smaller muscles like calves and forearms, back in high school, when I used a lot more sets than I do today. I've also had the phantom sensation of peddling after a ...

PS.) Just because your doing full-body workouts, doesn't mean you have to do the same workout 3 days a week. Instead you could do a different full body workout each day. For example, you could do squats and Romanian deadlifts on Monday, followed by front squats and leg curls on Wednesday and deadlif...

I read an article in Muscle and Fitness that said the opposite. Supposedly, study participants who trained (weights and cardio) in the evening experienced more fat loss than those who trained in the morning, while strength gains were equal. The authors of the study theorized that exercising in the e...

PS.) If your able to add a large amount of muscle, your % of bodyfat may drop even though the actual amount of bodyfat your carrying increases slightly. Typically this would only happen if your new to weight training, coming off a long layoff, or unusually gifted however.

Prone Incline Laterals ..... they're like Bent-over laterals except that you lay face down (kneeling on the seat) on an incline bench, instead of standing bent-over parallel to the floor. You can varry the angle of incline on these, but I like to keep it pretty low (about 30 degrees).

Maybe with a trap bar, but not with a strait barbell. With a straight barbell you would be doing upright rows, which are similar, but slightly different.
