Some questions.

Hello, I've got a few questions: 1)When I stop doing a certain exercise for a period of time, while still doing other exercises that target the same muscle group, and I restart doing them again, I've made as good as 0 progress or even decreased. I've just found it out by doing triceps extensions: I ...

Hello, to lose some more fat, you should better do full-body routines. Altough your 2 day split is good, full body routines will burn some extra calories by increasing your metabolism some more. Be sure to stay away from knee-destroying exercises such as running, leg extensions and basically every l...

Can't she do more different exercises and less sets of each exercise. That way she'll do more different movement patterns and thus stimulate more muscle growth.
Study has show that only 1 set is enough to stimulate hypertrophy, the thirth set doesn't add much to the increase in volume.

According to me, the full-body routine is better for building mass because you can stimulate body parts 3 times a weeks instead of 2 times. Be sure to hit the biggest bodyparts (legs, chest and back) every workout. You don't have to be (too) concerned about overtraining if you adjust your sets/reps ...

I've had basically the same problem last summer, even though it was less extreme. I saw myself eating right and doing cardio properly. But I actually only lost muscles and a small amount of fat (skinny-fat look). If you want to know some numbers: last summer I was 143 lbs (65 kg) at 183cm (around 6 ...

Liver Damage

Hello, I drink 1l of milk during and after my workout, but my mother was getting mad at me. She thinks that I'd get liver damage because I am drinking so much milk, is this truth? And if it is should I get protein powder? BTW, is it normal/bad that the inner eyewhite has got a light yellow color? I ...

If you lift faster, your muscles will (of course) contract faster and thus they need more fast twitch (type IIb) fibres then when you lift slow. If you lift as fast as you can, you will develop/convert more fast twitch fibres then slow twitch(type I). This stands perpendicular upon most bodybuilders...

I drink 1 liter of very-low fat milk (<0,1g/100ml) after my workout to get 30g of protein (don't have any proteinpowder/creatine,...). And I drink real cowmilk (5gfat/100ml) which tastes a lot better then that pasteurised milk you can buy in the supermarket. BTW If you begin to drink real cowmilk fr...

HIIT Training

Hello, I'm doing HIIT-Training 5 days/week (or atleast try to) and I do them after my workouts. I was wondering if this was the best time to do it, I'd figure your glycogen would be depleted and you would burn more fat that way. But it can also be the other way round: burn more muscle then normal. W...

Hello, first of all: welcome as a fellow Belgian. But as a response to your question, I too have really unflexible hamstrings, the rest of my body is flexible except for that part. But it actually doesn't matter for doing deadlifts (not at all at this excercise), stiff-legged, ... altough you cannot...

I like to ride bike in the spring or summer and to chase motorcycles :D.
I cannot see much of nature in my environment, but I still like it tough.
Especially breaking my speed records on the road and riding as fast as cars (downhill and/or wind on the back ofcourse).

I've read a very suiting answer on this question: You feel a burning when you do leg extensions, not when you do squats.
But which of the two gives you weak muscles for a few days?

I think that, after reading these replies and other topics, I won't do pre-breakfast cardio anymore. I'll just do it after I've gotten home from school. I will keep up with my workouts and I won't be a dumbass as I've been last year. I just came home from school, started doing HIIT cardio and didn't...

So to decrease fat, it would be a bad thing to do pre-breakfast low intensity cardio? So decrease fat it would be better to do high intensity cardio at a later time of the day? Also I really don't want to lose muscles, I'd like it more to lose less fat and no muscle then to lose a lot of fat and som...
