ok, so my main goal is weight loss. i've read over and over that you should do cardio and lift weights. This is exactly what you are doing. i don't understand how doing these four exercises each day is more demanding. The best way to learn this is to do it. You won't argue after you try. you say re...

It is actually more work than you are currently doing because you are using more demanding exercises.

If you need something clarified, just ask.

Re: question about routine

hi everybody. i'm here once again with a question. trying to do a circuit at the gym is nearly impossible only because it's pretty busy when i go (unfortunately going at a different time is not an option for me). not that completing a circuit itself is impossible, just moving from one exercise to a...

Re: sprints and jog at once

I guess my main question would be is doing both on same day canceling out the benefits of both? Thanks for any replies! I think doing both on the same day or in the same week probably does cancel out the benefits of both, but to a very small degree. So if you are an elite athlete, then focus on one...

If you can get your protein requirements (1g-1.5g per 1# body weight) then protein powders little benefit. Most people have to use protein powders to get the protein in. They are convenient. I eat 1.5g per 1# bw and I aim to get 2/3 of my protein from whole food sources. Edit: looks like I misunders...

There is really no telling. Now stretches are good, and I'd never tell anyone not to stretch, but if you are doing it for quats, I don't think thats good enough. It's been my personal experience that if you need flexibility for a certain movement, well stretches can certainly help, but the best app...

Sounds like you are trying to rehab an injury. This is best done by going to a qualified PT.

I don't think this question can be answered without considering nutrition.

IMO, if you eat and adequate amount of calories, there is no way you will loose any muscle mass.

Step-Ups

Hey guys, I am having some difficulty with perfoming step-ups. I read a lot of descriptions from good coaches and pretty much every one says not to push off with foot that is on the floor. I can't seem to be able to do it. Every time I perform a step-up my body automatically pushes with both feet. I...

In terms of mental health there is some evidence to show that light drinking (less than 7 units a week) could improve general mental health in some adults. I just wanted to point out that in all likelyhood, the benefits are not due to alcohol, but rather to other substances contained in the alcholi...

I'm not inclined to believe what bobby said, the ratio of what I can bench to what I weigh is about 1.35:1 (255:190), I can't see someone who only does pushups walking up to a bench and managing 1.34 times their bodyweight right off the bat. The best way to get good at ______ (insert exercise here)...
