Re: The Keto-Vegetarian

It's hard to do keto as a vegetarian as most plant foods contain significant carbs. That doesn't mean people don't do it. https://www.reddit.com/r/vegetarianketo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Pain in lower back when doing leg extn

Hopefully Matt and Stephen will see this as it's an old thread but I'm glad you cam back to it. Make sure your hips are back firmly against the back pad when doing leg press and there should be a natural arch in your lower back. If not, adjust the seat position so you can do that. Lower the weight s...

Re: training with winged scapula / long-term program help

1. Try to balance your pushing exercises with your pulling exercises, or in your case where you have existing issues, do more pulling. 2. Front squats are more quad dominant than back squats so it's more important to balance those with a good hamstring exercise like deadlifts. 3. You don't need ligh...

Re: Will unprepared back be fractured or something if I lift

The key is in lifting progressively. Start with loads that are comfortable and allow time for recovery between workouts. 2 days is normal for beginners. Over time, your muscles, bones, connective tissues will all strengthen and you'll be able to safely increase the loads. If you think you might have...

Re: Am I doing too little?

Are there any exercises for the pecs that don’t involve the shoulders?
No. The pecs connect the chest to the arm and any movement must involve the shoulder.

What bodyfat level is this?

You can't tell by pictures. You might as well pull a number from the air.

It depends on what you're comfortable with. I don't see any reason to stop bulking. However, summer is coming.

Re: FitNotes for Android

I use a paper note book. It's actually a Field Message Pad. I sued to get anal about logs but I found I can get the information I want just by writing down what I do in the notebook. I don't worry about trends. If I hit a number bigger than I hit last year, I feel like a hero.

Re: Wendler 5/3/1 stalling question

I would just repeat the cycle at the same weight and see if you can get another rep or two. If you don't make progress, then I would call it a stall. OHP is the hardest exercise to make progress with.

Interesting analysis of some of the more popular beginner powerlifting programs. http://www.powerliftingtowin.com/powerlifting-programs/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Of course the author is trying to make his own program look best but it is a very comprehensive list.
