Re: Cooking/mixing oat flour more appealing?

Oats are fine. So are rice, and root vegetables. You can bake with oats but I'm not one to ask.

Re: Cooking/mixing oat flour more appealing?

In my opinion, oat flour may have value as a post workout carb that you can mix into your post workout shake but otherwise it's no more useful than wheat flour unless you're celiac. The "complex" carb is just starch. That breaks down to glucose in your moth so there is no real difference from eating...

Re: CLA and sperm quality

In general, I don't take supplements. I prefer to get nutrition from whole foods. CLA for example is plentiful in pastured beef. Getting your training and diet right should always be your primary focus and then you can experiment with supplements. keep that reference I gave you. That's an excellent ...

This is where I would look first: https://examine.com/supplements/Conjugated+Linoleic+Acid/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; However, I see no reference to sperm quality but they typically weight human trials higher than animal studies. However Google turned up this:https://www.ncbi.nl...

Re: Upper body only split routine, pull/push?

You may want to break up your core training into Anti-Extension, Anti-rotation, Hip Flexion with Neutral Spine and Anti-lateral Flexion. Some of these you can work into other training. For example, Anti-Extension fits well with pulling days and deadlifts are a common example. Anti-rotation can be bu...

Other than this one, I'm not familiar with sites that have what you're looking for but you may want to look for books by Frederic Delavier.

I just noticed that Doc double tapped the paste so it was posted twice. I've fixed it. It doesn't look so ominous now.

Re: Please help me get started !!

There are some guidelines here, but they are a little confusing. I usually refer people here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/wiki/g ... d_routines" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I just noticed that EXRX has a program on the list now.

Re: Please help me get started !!

1. Eating is pretty well required if you want to gain weight. On the plus side, exercise will tend to increase your appetite, especially if it's muscle building exercise. You gained belly fat for a number of reasons, stress, too much food and not enough, or the wrong type of exercise are the common ...

Re: Can I train lower body without raising my squat/dl numbe

There is no absolute limit to what someone can or should lift as long as they train progressively and appropriately and pay attention to their body. I see a number of internet gurus saying things like "don't lift more that x lbs", but that's completely BS. No legitimate strength coach ever said anyt...

Re: Recommended muscle strength balance ratios

There are a lot of different ways to measure strength balances. Depending on your sport, different ratios may be optimal. I like this site because it tells you overall how you are balanced on the basic lifts: http://symmetricstrength.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; That site uses...

If I could make 10 lbs improvement in 6 weeks, I would be delighted. Have you tried a program like 5/3/1? I mentioned several factors, genetics is the only one you can't affect. Do you have any concerns about how to improve the others?

Re: Bench Press

Ideally, this post should be in it's own thread in the General section, and I probably have the authorities to move it but I'm don't know how. Moderator school wasn't very in depth. To answer your question, there are lots of reasons why someone's progress is slower than what they think is normal. Th...
