That's sounds fairly obvious. You better not be planning on adding a link or advertisement.

Re: Variation of Cable Straight Arm Pulldown

I think it's foolish and serves no purpose. I don't know what muscles it would hit. Perhaps lower traps, I'm not sure.

I'm not debating with you. You have enough information to judge for yourself what is useful to you or not.

Re: Why are there 2 different hyperextensions on exrx.net?

If your goal is to train your lower back, you can use back extensions. If your goal is to train hamstrings, you can use back extensions. The fact is that that exercise works both body parts. It can be included in two sections. The directory is sorted by body parts, not by exercises, so this is actua...

Re: Why are there 2 different hyperextensions on exrx.net?

Hyperextention is listed twice because people us them to train different body parts. Both are correct. The difference between back extension and hyper-extension is the range of motion. hyper-extension fully extends the back, while back extension stops when the back is parallel to the legs. Back rais...

Re: loss of workout pump

Are you taking creatine? That is more important as you age and the only supplement that I think is worth recommending in the general case. Lack of pump could also be a sign of overtraining. That becomes easier to do as you get older. Treat the pump or lack thereof as a barometer of your readiness to...

You can likely attach a solid bar to a floor joist and it should be more than capable of holding your weight. It would be stronger than a wall mounted bar. Here's and example: https://www.amazon.com/Joist-Mounted-Pu ... B0030AVEF2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

> Is there a disadvantage to having the heel make contact after each rep? This comes down to whether you think that constant tension is required for your training objectives. There is suggestion that continual tension improves the hypertrophy response but it doesn't seem to make much difference to s...

100% and 100%. Both are important and the one that is most important is the one you've been neglecting. If you have something specific in mind, you'll need to provide more information.

Re: What to eat

1. you pre workout meal should fuel you through your workout and normally it's simply your regular meal. It should be balanced with carbs, fat and protein. Some people like a pre-workout supplement but that's optional. What is important is that you have protein with a couple hours one way or the oth...

It's hard to do keto as a vegetarian as most plant foods contain significant carbs. That doesn't mean people don't do it. https://www.reddit.com/r/vegetarianketo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Pain in lower back when doing leg extn

Hopefully Matt and Stephen will see this as it's an old thread but I'm glad you cam back to it. Make sure your hips are back firmly against the back pad when doing leg press and there should be a natural arch in your lower back. If not, adjust the seat position so you can do that. Lower the weight s...
