So, lets say I want to increase my deadlift (using this because there is no eccentric phase before the lift). Lets say I could deadlift 3 times a week doing a normal deadlift with both the eccentric and concentric phase. However, if I only did a concentric deadlift, I should be able to tain the dead...

What would happen if you eliminated the eccentric phase?
This is just a hypothetical question. I don't think I've got some genius idea or anything like that. Anyways, here's my line of thought. I understand that one reason that olympic weightlifting can be done more often than standard weightlifting is because there is no eccentric phase to the motion. (W...

I was just reading about something that may be of help to people with flat feet. There's a little blurb on it in this article http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_art ... ed_in_2010
It's called a Strasburg sock.
It's called a Strasburg sock.
Isn't there a product that helps digest dairy products? I'm thinking it's called lactaid and is probably lactase. However, whenever I've looked for it, I have not seen it. So, I'm hoping that I didn't just make it up in my head. Anyways, I typically don't have problems digesting it, but if I consume...

I do a lot of olympic lifting and high pulls are definently included. I'm looking for something that is more involved in the upper body than just shrugging. I definently wouldn't want to use the motion like an upright row just because that could contribute to some bad habits. I also understand that ...

Looking for power/plyometric "pull" exercises
I've noticed that most explosive exercises the work the upper body are almost entirely push movements or just involve shrugging as far as olympic lifts go. I can only think of a few exercises for pull that would fit into this category but am not equipped or capable of doing them yet. Can't do clappi...

Yah, it's actually not that expensive. I was looking at the packages they offer on the website and not the individual books. One was like 850 if you're not a memeber -_-. I think the most I spent on textbooks in college was $500ish a semester. I saw the CSCA certification and liked the looks of it, ...

OK, so I'm now having a much worse issue. When I try to overhead squat or do shoulder dislocations with a pvc pipe, I get a pain in my left hand, in my palm, toward the edge of my hand between my thumb and index finger. Like the the bar is pressing against something that it shouldn't be. The pain ma...
