Hoosegow- Yes sir, and what's crazy is it felt, well, definately not light, but it felt comfortable. My goal is 700 by the end of the summer, but the way it's going, I may be there sooner. I was VERY happy to get the 675. Before that I was hitting without wraps, and now that I have them, I feel 100%...

Ok, so I know that Ironmaiden advised against it, but I went ahead and bought the Nitrotech/Celltech stack. First I just had the Nitrotech, then I started the cell tech a few days ago. I have been taking nitrotech for a little over a week, almost two, and Cell tech for four days, today is my fifth.....

I've tried both double wrap and single wrap...however, the double wrap tends to make the bar too thick for my fingers to get a good grip on...it end up making it so that I can lift less weight than if I weren't using the straps. As to what my goals are...at this point I haven't really decided. I've ...

straps/"hookers"
Ok, so as you all know, I'm new to the free weight game, but have been hitting the cables for several years now. I have found that any time I get around 425 or more for things like shrugs or deadlifts, if doing more than just a few reps, my grip starts to fail me. I have thought about using straps, ...

I was just looking for some shoes that might work for lifting. I was talking to a lady at Shoebacca.com, and she was trying to sell me on the flat-bottomed shoes for lifting in...the cheapo skate shoes you were talking about. However, I need a pair of shoes that can double as a walking around shoe a...

I don't understand how your muscle can NOT come in proportionate. You are right that if you have a balanced routine you will be proportionate, but I know guys that only ever do their chest, or do lots of quad-heavy workouts and end up pulling a hamstring or having shoulder injuries. You are right, ...

I do drink water just a little cooler than room temperature, it does help me to get more down when I need to drink a lot of water. Now if I drink it ice cold or refrigerated it has the same effect as drinking soda with heavy carbonation....after drinking it quickly, I have to stop. Also, I've always...

I'm confused by the division of the chest into "upper", "middle", and "lower". By "chest" most people mean pecs, and they have 2 divisions, not 3. Have you ever seen the seperation between Franco Columbu's chest??? There is a clear seperation between groupings of muscles in the pectoral. It depends...

stuward is correct in that it is largely in one's diet. Try getting most of your carbs from green, leafy vegetables, or even broccoli, greenbeans, or peas or peppers, and eating less of everything else. Cut out the soda, if you drink it, and anything with high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oil...

I agree with some of the postings, and disagree with some of the postings. It has been my experience that the best way for gaining size, (as I went from 183 to 240 from lifting and no supplements) is to first, eat every two hours, and eat well. Second, focus mainly on the large muscle groups such as...

Yes, but the bench press movement requires that you take the fatigue off of your triceps in order to maximize a: the usage of your pectorals during the exercise; and b: the amount of repititions and weight you can place on your chest while pressing. If you feel your triceps burning up and you hit fa...

my DL is way weaker than my squats also. Best DL is right at 500, and my best squat is 650. I'm 6' with fairly long arms, but for the longest time I only worked out with cables because of what was accessible. I think this is the reason my DL is relatively weaker than my squat. I dont use straps eith...
