any thoughts about my workout? I'd love to hear comments/criticism of workouts (always looking to improve).

Hi Mog16. Just a question for you. Looks like you do a lot of stuff similar to what I do. Good numbers on the power clean, BTW, but my question is can you describe the powersnatatch overhead squat jump please. LOL, I thought I knew most of the ballistics, guess not.

well, I'm rather interested in developing explosive power for jumping because I play basketball a lot. The snatch overhead squat jump is basically what it sounds like because I'm just starting to get into these kinds of lifts I don't know if it has another name, I just started adding movements to some lifts I already knew. Maneuver looks like this, snatch from ground and go immediately into a full butt to ankle squat and explode up into the jump...repeat as needed...and collapse in exhaustion :)

Thanks Mog16. That sounds very tough. In my thinking, overhead squatting it tough enough, but that is sheer agony. My right hip is pretty lame these days,but just gave it a go with a broomstick. Good job

Yeah, deffinately gotta keep the weight low, though as my snatch form is improving a lot I may be able to start adding weight soon :).

Mog- Tuesday I did the calf booster thing from T-nation you had in your Journal for the first time. My calves are STILL sore today!

haha yeah, it had the same effect on me, next time you do calves work the gastrocnemius as normal but do the booster with seated calf raises to hit the soleus :-D
