I was going to 4 reps and even with my protocol (20-30s b/w R's, 60-90s b/w S's) it got bloody difficult.
I might cut it back to 3 reps and have a uniform rest period, see how that goes. Before I started with ladders I was only attempting 3 x 5 on my Chins so as long as I can increase my volume (i.e. > 15) and beat my reps on each workout I'll be happy.
Do you just stop when the sequence breaks down and record that as your workout?
