School's getting very interesting to say the least. My journey towards Personal training has it's next big step: I get a client to train for 10 sessions. I do have a girl pair with me since it's a school project, but still. For a couple of weeks in October, I'm a PERSONAL FITNESS COACH! How bloody awesome is that. This year has done nothing but assured and aggrovated the flame of becoming a personal trainer, and now I'm one step closer, and can actually show what I know, and bring the theory to practice. Me and another friend were talking about getting a legal name(business) after the course, but most likely I'll end up asking local gyms if any is hiring personal trainers.

Other stuff in school, we have swimming and exercise phyisology and sports coaching classes. Those are very interesting too. Will get to measure my body composition next month (and get full access to use the measuring devices, yay). I'm interested to hear about my bodyfat %. Wild quess is somewhere around 10-15%. Oh yeah, I'm also coaching some young hockey goalies four times a week. That's a blast as well. I'll probably asses them and try to get some condition training on the side as well (nothing special since they are only 10-14 years old, but fundamental movement patterns).

These are the books on my desk at this moment:
Functional Movement Systems by Gray Cook
The Science and Practice of Strength Training by V.Zatsiorsky
Plus our PFC course uses the material from Michael Boyles functional training. Talk about quality sources.
I'm thrilled.

nice work on the squat PR. You may not know this but I have been competing against you on front squats now my back is better.

I will overtake you next year, you have been warned.

Yep. It's like floorball/land hockey, but on ice. It has a ball instead of a puck, and some different equipment regulations.

Mostly without. It's sort of a gentlemen sport so to speak. No tackles or big contact and stuff like that.

It is. For me it's almost the same, since I'm the goalie. I just don't have a stick, only two catching gloves.
