### Whey! - How many tablespoons for for 10 grams

I recently bought a bucket of "Strive Pro-Iso" whey protein...
This will be my first time using whey supplement, and I'm wondering how I can measure x number of grams with a tablespoon... or how I can measure the number of grams at all.

I read somewhere that 2 tablespoons of whey is = to 10 grams of whey.

Is this accurate?

It depends on the density. A tablespoon is a measure of volume and a gram is a measure of weight. Isn't there a scoop in it?

In addition to IM's answer, look on the label of the can, it should list serving size and x amount of protein, with x amount of calories. And most come with a scoop, so it should read something like this 1 serv (1 scoop, x grams) = x gr P, x cal

yeah, on the nutrition info, it says 1 scoop = 50 grams
but there's not scoop...
should I go back to the store and see if they sell any scoops?

You have to dig into it a bit. It's always kind of buried.

If this is the stuff, there is a scoop inside the jar, like Ironman said.

You'd be better off using the scoop to measure servings than a teaspoon.

I never heard of this particular brand of whey. Put on your reporter's hat and give us your thoughts about it later.

If it tastes decent, there is not much fat or carbs which is good. Seems a little pricey even with the exchange rate.

well... it's the only product I've used.

I had one serving before, and it tasted pretty good.
I guess I'm gonna have to wait a few months to see how it effects my gains.

That's good enough for me. ;-)

Several years ago, someone explained to me the differences between types of whey proteins (isolate, concentrate, ion exchange, cross filtered, ad nauseum) but my eyes glazed over under the barrage of information. It's hard to separate the science from the marketing hype. But if you work out hard and take protein afterwards, you should do OK. Liking the taste is icing on the cake.
