The fate of spammers

Post by JaneB » Wed Dec 26, 2007 8:34 pm

I decided to sign up and post spam manually to get by the anti-spam features. However, I didn't realize that Ironman really hates that. So now, my account has been deleted, my IP has been banned and my e-mail address has been signed up to receive more spam than you could possibly imagine. I'm just glad that hacking is very time consuming and a certain angry someone isn't going to screw up my site.

So keep that in mind, spammers. This and worse happens to those who piss off certain people. So don't bother, or at the very list, suffer my fate you will.

You don't say.... It couldn't happen to a more deserving person. This is a lot like what happened to the first guy that tried this. Two spams, 2 idiots owned. But hey, 2 in 10 months isn't too bad.

Do you think it was intentional advertising, or do you think it was an idiotic mom who thought she was an inspiration?

I think it was intentional. Anytime someone posts something like that on the first post it's intentional. They probably cut and paste it to forums all over the internet.

Yea, if someone just throws a bad link into a message, I'm not going to do all that. I will just delete the link and give a warning. I am only harsh with people who are obviously manually spamming forums.

The only thing I allow, is for someone to plug themselves at the end of an article they write and post in the visitor articles section. It has to be a legit site related to the topic. Like the person's site for their personal training business and that sort of thing.
