drinks like Vitamin Water

Post by drummaniac » Sun Apr 13, 2008 5:45 pm

Ok so i've seen the topic on Accelerade but my questions a little different. Just what in genreral do you think of a drink like Vitamin Water and Life water? I still think that regular water and chocolate milk are better for you but does anyone really like these types of water just as a way to get some extra vitamins? I know theres really not much in them and some people on here take vitamins but what do you think of drinks like these? are they worth purchasing every now and then or a waste of money?

Waste of money, eat a healthy diet and/or take multivitamin and you won't need the extra minuscule amounts of vitamins in the drink, adds needless calories. IMO another one of many gimmicks out on the market. At least its a little better than reaching for a mountain dew.

I haven't looked at the labels, so I'm just giving my general opinion on these things, but anything like that makes me think they're just trying to cash in on the fitness craze. I don't even buy bottled water. I have a filter at ome, and just use my own bottles to take with me.

The only time I used those 'vitamin waters' was when I had to go on a liquid diet for 24 hours before a medical procedure. Man, did I get sick of them. Much too sweet, and I don't think the few units of limited vitamins they pack did any good nutrition wise. Now, I'm completely turned off those kind of drinks.
I will succeed, not because I am perfect, but because I persevere.
