Mercury in tuna

I'm eating 1-2 cans of tuna everyday for protein. Is this dangerous longterm?

No. Eat light tuna instead of white. White tastes better but it is a little higher in mercury. It costs more too. Try alternating with Salmon. Sockeye is best. Sardines are good too and have negligible mercury. Always get fish packed in water, not oil. Variety over time will tend to even out toxins and micronutrient imbalances.
