i was kind of taking the rough with the smooth with nuts. I know they're calorie dense but I need some sort of snack food in my life and nuts seem to be the best option.
I'll rotate them like you said Stuward

You have to keep them to a minimum when trying to lose weight, but otherwise there is nothing wrong with them.

The nice thing about nuts is that they don't go bad. As far as a portable on-hand snack food they're tough to beat. Although I do also have some 100% chocolate I occasionally snack a bit on. (I'm more concerned about late night caffeine there though.)

That's easy, keep the carbs around 100 or so and eat clean, no junk food.

!00 grams/carbs is about right for maintenance for most people. Some need more or less depending on how your body tolerates them. If you're trying to gain weight you probably need more than that. You probably should cycle them, a little high on workout days, less than maintenance on non-workout days. Keep protein and fats relatively constant.

I do actually - I love having a k-word scale. Also broccoli comes in convenient 1 pound single-serving bags.

Blashphemy!
Annoyingly, asparagus comes in 12 oz bags here, which is partly why I almost never buy it.
