Hmmm new to "diets"
Guys Everyehere I go, it keeps telling me that diets are just as important to lose fat and gain muscle.. so I ask, what is a good diet? I asked this in general, but I want like a really good detailed diet that is guaranteed fat loss... Also is a high protein lowcarb diet bad?

high protein/low carb diet is the bees knees. There's a really good sticky on it you should read. It's more of a lifestyle rather than a "diet". What I mean is, it's not necessarilly something you'd do for 6 weeks like one of those stupid fad diets (my girlfriend recently attempted the "soup diet") but a way of eating every day for the rest of your life that will minimize fat storage and turn you into a lean, healthy stud.
Check out the sticky, it really is very good. After that, any questions you want to ask just fire away.

read the sticky! The side effects are leanness and good health...Immortal wrote:what are the side effects? and Im guessing u have tried or still try this?
...actually the side effects are a lot more complicated than that but if you read the sticky you'll learn it all.
(the sticky is a thread at the top of the page called something like "Low carb diet for fat loss")
One of my side effects was a triglyceride count of 24 and an HDL of 65.
Healthy is defined as any triglyceride count of 149 or less, and HDL of 39 or greater.
My calculated VLDL of 5 is probably close. My calculated LDL of 135 is obviously way high due to my extremely low triglycerides. So while it calculates to be just a tad high, in reality it's probably not much more than 100.
My other results were equally good.
How do you like those side effects?

Corn is really a grain, not a vegetable. Sugar and grains, including corn, are the first foods to eliminate. Once you get to the point that you're concerned with which vegetables or fruits are better than others, you're past the hard part. Vegetables are all good but calorie dense ones like potatoes require moderation. Berries are the best fruits.
can someone write out a list of fruits that are good? my main concern is that I get my potassium from bananas and orange juice so Idk if thats good or not, I stopped eating the bannanas and only drink little orange juice a day, I wanna know what types of fruit still have a lot of potassium while being low on sugar
While I admit a lot of juices are garbage, I think non-concentrated orange juice ain't half bad to drink. Like a glass in the morning with breakfast. Sure an orange itself is better...but if your gonna drink a juice I'd make it orange.Jebus wrote:If you eat real food, you will have plenty of potassium.
Fruit juices are garbage, they have no fibre and less micronutrients.
Bananas are fine to eat.
I think pretty much all fruits are decent as long as you don't eat large heapings of them. Berries generally have the least sugar to them and a lot of nutrients.
