Low Carb -> High Cholesterol

Post by stuward » Sat Sep 10, 2011 9:52 am

That sound wrong but according to debate on the internet, in some people, low carbs acn lead to hypothyroidism which can raise cholesterol. If you're on a low-carb diet and your numbers are high, have your thyroid checked, or just increase your carbs a bit. Apparently the link between thyroid and high TC is well known, less studied is the link between low-carb and thyroid.
