Grass fed Whey?!?!
Would whey from grass fed cows actually be beneficial-- (or even worth the money?) I'd think the omega 3s would be processed out since whey is a protein.
Any thoughts on this?

I think the benefit would be you know it's not from China.

Psst.... (here's a little secret)
Don't tell anyone else, but all milk cows are grass fed.

Negative Travis. Guess what hay and straw is. I can get real technical if you want, but to not do so, all polygastric animals must have addequate roughage to thrive (has to do with microbial activity in the stomachs).

Re: Grass fed Whey?!?!
I think most dairy cattle get a mix of grass and other feed with more feed in the winter months when grazing is generally poor. I see dairy cattle grazing every day.
PS) I don't think they have many cattle in China.

Re: Grass fed Whey?!?!
Well yes, straw is a grass, however the article goes on to mention grains are "main contributors of starch to diets." True grains are the seeds from the Poaceae, however the "grass fed is better" ideology believes cows shouldn't be eating grains; thus the need for differentiating "grass fed" from conventional. (So straw should be fine but hay not, I guess!?!?)
Regardless, I just wanted confirmation that "grass fed" whey is a marketing gimmick

Re: Grass fed Whey?!?!
I have nothing against the Chinese people but the production standards there are lacking and it's not unusual to see stories of adulterated food products coming from there. I distrust whey from China.robertscott wrote:you racist!stuward wrote:I think the benefit would be you know it's not from China.

Short-term gain at the expense of the environment, public health, human rights and history ... I'm not sure I'd call that a miracle.
