Movies that FIRE YOU UP
I caught an airing of Rudy this week and got all fired up to workout ... "at midnight" ... alas the gym was closed plus I'm skipping out this week to rest up (gotta cold - wah).
Rudy is one of my favorites, if you've never seen it I recommend it. It's about a little guy who wants nothing more in life than to play football for Notre Dame. He had a dream and he went full-force to obtain it.
So I'm wondering ... what movies motivate you all. Not the ones where you walk away saying "WOW, that was a great movie". I'm talking about the ones where if the gym wasn't closed, "You'd be driving there during the closing credits".

I've seen the Hulk a few weeks ago in the cinema's and it made me want to go workout immediatly.
*SPOILER*
If you've seen the film it wasn't the Hulk who made me want to workout (well he did a little bit) it was his opponent who just got his first injection of the radiation and jumped up the staircase/sprinted much faster than the rest of the army.

Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee. If I pop in the DVD, I will probably spend the whole movie doing push-ups and squats and stretches. I know its cheesey and unrealistic, but Lee's movie persona is so unstoppable, I just kind of find it inspiring. Plus, there's some great quotes from the bad guy about "forging your body in the fire of your will" and stuff like that. Great work-out movie!

To get fired up for squats, or any leg work really, I like a good Basketball highlight reel of guys doing insane dunks! Gets me wanting to improve my vertical so I can do the same thing*!
As for getting pumped in general, pretty much anything with Arn in it that's not a comedy (except the opening of Twins with him on the island!), Mortal Kombat, the "You need a Montage" scene from Team America World Police, Enter the Dragon or the Kareem Abdul Jabbar vs Bruce Lee fight or anything with Leonardo Di Caprio because he just makes me so angry I take it out on the weights!

(*on an 8 foot rim of course! lol)

Any Given Sunday.
My housemate throws this one on occasionally when we're doing weights.

Less stereotypical but for me, more effective is this gem from Al Pacino
