I have been messing around with
and by looking at their physical activity calculators for calories burned, there are some huge differences between theirs and the one on exrx.net.
At first I thought their calculator was a bit off because it listed 1300 calories burned for 75 minutes of basketball for me (230 lb). The exrx calculator lists about half that.
On a similarly strange note, the exrx calculator lists cycling for 30 minutes (for me again) as 490 calories while basketball for 30 only has 311 calories burned.
Now, I am sorry but 13 mph cycling is rather slow and basketball requires a constantly high output.
Any thoughts on these calculators?
