Hi. 5'6" 118 lb female here, trying alternate day fasting for the first time (36 hours no eating with water, 12 hours eating without restrictions). Out of curiosity, does anyone know how muscle is broken down during muscle catabolism? Is there a certain area that tends to lose muscle first? Does this vary by sex, age, or BMI? My EMF scale estimates that I am between 18 and 18.5% body fat.
