sleeping question

Unfortunately, it is literally impossible for me to get 8 good hours of sleep per night. The most that I can possibly average comes out to maybe 6. From school work to awkward practice schedule to awkward working times to the way my class schedule is set up, I am forced to go to sleep at 2 or 3 am every weekday and I must wake up at 8:30 every weekday.

Some people can deal with 6 hours of sleep day in and day out. I am not one of those people. Therefore, I take 1 or 2 hour naps in the middle of the day.

Are these naps beneficial to me? Do they harm my sleep schedule? Would it be better for me to NOT take the naps and do something else instead?

taking a nap in the afternoon can be beneifcial as long as you dont sleep too long. 45 min to an hour can be just right to help boost test levels and aid in energy recovery.

If you really can't get all your sleep at once, the 45-60 minute nap is better then just missing the sleep.

I tend to miss a little during the week and play catch up on the weekend. It gets me by, but it is not ideal at all.
