New exercise?

Post by Wouter » Thu Oct 26, 2006 11:51 am

I believe I've just 'invented' a new exercise, altough there might be other people who has used them. But I've never seen anyone mention it.
And I tought about Reversed Flyes: instead of spreading your dumbbells like you are a cross, you'd cross them over your body. And then you'd just do like you would do with flyes.
Would this be a good exercise to do for your back? And what muscles would be trained with them?

Wouter: Sounds like something I do at the cable cross-over machine for rear delts. I use a slightly inclined bench and position it between two high pullys. I cross my arms (slightly bent) over my chest and grap the two opposite D-handles to pull the weight stacks on each side.

It sounds like rear delt laterals

I do them from time to time, but normally I do the barbell rear delt row with a wide grip.

as you probably figured out by now they work the posterior deltoids.

This is the bent over version of Keith's exercise.

They don't seem to have the prone version.
