body weight exercises

Post by Sliver » Wed Apr 05, 2006 4:24 pm

Out of curiosity, what's a good place to read up on different types of body weight exercises, and how to setup a full body workout with them?

Most of the "Weighted" excercises on this site can also be done with just bodyweight.

I did a Google on bodyweight exercises and got this result:

http://tinyurl.com/ezeq4

Unfortunately, most of the sites either are hawking training programs or are text only without pictures/illustrations of the exercises.

Lots of places. I'll just list a few of my favorites.
Bryce Lane has a discussion board at
http://p069.ezboard.com/btheironworks
It's a general discussion, but bodyweight is mentioned a lot over there. His home page is
http://home.comcast.net/~joandbryce
Lots of articles there.
http://www.rossboxing.com has lots of useful stuff. And of course,
http://www.crossfit.com. Look in the link to the FAQ (in the right hand margin, under "Friends of Crossfit). It lists the exercises with the girls names, which are mostly bodyweight stuff. Also, look in their forum and at their WODs. Aain, tons of ideas for bwt stuff.
Hope this gives you some info.
Tim
