Deadlifts using EZ curl bar...

Post by Juggers » Mon Jan 22, 2007 12:14 pm

Anyone ever try this? I just noticed that It can be done using my ez curl bar...this could be good because I can have my big barbell free.

Didn't know if there would be any reason why NOT to use the ez curl bar to deadlift...other than the grip would be different because the ends are not straight...but the grip is confortable for me. I'll try it out and see what happens.

Only reason I can think of not to use an EZ-curl bar for deadlifts is that you can't fit as many plates on an EZ-curl bar.

I have been doing this for over a year. It's perfectly fine.

I use mine for stiff-leg deadlifts because they require less weight. I just grip the EZ curl bar out by the plates where the bar is straight.
Squeeze life until it bleeds.

Ok...thanks for the feeback guys. I didn't think there would be anything totally wrong...

Only for me I tried to mess around with them after squatting and couldnt...my lower back was so tired and started to cramp up. Deadlifts after squats seem to be a no go.
