One-arm Deadlift Technique

Post by quadfrog » Wed Feb 14, 2007 7:20 pm

I enjoy doing Dumbell cleans and snatches, and I'd like try one-arm deadlifts, as well. Are there any films or illustrations available that would show one-arm deadlift techniques? The only thing I can remember is that you had to straddle the dumbbell. I imagine references to this subject may be historical and hard to locate. Appreciate your help!

Hey Quad, I've done the 1 arm dl thing two different ways. one is standing next to a BB pointing fore and aft, done suitcase style, the other is closer to a std DL w/ BB, you just have togo off center and drop your arm straight down. For all the old time "Odd Lifts" see

I like one arm deads alot. I do them a variety of ways and find them to be the BEST ab work there is. If i had to chose one variety, it would be suitcase style, bar/dumbell at one side.
