Active Recovery?

Post by Matt Z » Mon Mar 05, 2007 11:31 am

What types of physical activity do you enjoy when your not actually working out? In my case, I enjoy hiking, and visiting zoos and aquariums. Both alow me to view wildlife, in captivity and in nature, and to take lots of pictures, which I really enjoy.

Lying on my back in front of the television. Seriously, I like long walks when I'm not in the gym. Anything to keep me away from the computer is fine with me.

I like to ride bike in the spring or summer and to chase motorcycles :D.
I cannot see much of nature in my environment, but I still like it tough.
Especially breaking my speed records on the road and riding as fast as cars (downhill and/or wind on the back ofcourse).

I spend a little over half my shift patroling buildings and parking lots on foot. That's over 20 hours a week of walking.

That's cool. I've done just about every other outdoor activity (hiking, birdwatching, camping, mountain biking, canooing, kyacking, rowing, target shooting), but never been hunting. I'd like to try it someday, but first I have to take the required hunter education course.

I tend to be more of an indoor, movies, tv, music, computers, books kind of person. My ass has very close relationships with a few pieces of furniture. It's spending some quality time with my computer chair right now. Although really it seems like if I'm not at work or at the gym, I either have to clean something or run some errands.
