First ever attempt at a 1RM:

BB Bench 72.5kgs at bodyweight 70kgs. Was pretty happy to get above body weight.

And this was after about 8 weeks of cutting. About to start bulking again so will be interested to see what happens.

On a side note - whilst cutting have lost 5 kgs off my 3x5RM squat, which sucked.

Hey Matt do you wear a belt at this weight?? I get over 185 and it just feels unsafe with for me and my form starts to deteriorate.

Conventional Deadlift

505x1 (hitched, but close enough for me)

The road to 600lbs begins

(Edited convention to conventional)

Yes I do wear a belt, but I don't wear it very tight.

I'd suggest that we keep this thread to posting PRs, and do any discussion on the individuals log discussion thread. Just my opinion.

i worked out at 320lbs with straps on dead lifts last week. i'm going to record a PB this week with straps.

3 1/2 months at the gym: 230lb one rm on bench press. hopefully after my cut week i'll be able to go back to my workout weight of 205lbs and hit 225 by the middle of next month.

7/20/09

One small step in plates, one giant leap for Peter...

Barbell Bench Press - 1 x 185 pounds, bodyweight 185 pounds

My first-ever bodyweight bench press. Finally. Next goal? 205.

nice, congrats!

unfortunately for me, body weight bench press is going to take some time to hit. hopefully my weight loss and bench press gains meet right in the middle at 300.

xshawnxearthx and MattZ - thanks guys.

My next bench goal is 205, but my next real goal is Box Squat 1 x 185. It's about time that exceeds my bench.
