Sorry, haven't been on here in awhile. I've had a very busy spring thus far. Anyways, I'm 4 days out from a big pro/am in Scottsdale and was getting in my last lifting session. The weight felt great, so I decided to go for it.

349 Clean and Jerk

The technique was ugly, but I'll take it!

I think if Jason came up to me and critiqued my lifts, I'd listen.

I need to go to Indy to meet him some time, he doesn't live too far from me. I'd love to see some of his training in person.

just like squats, i went up 25lbs in DL since just before jaw/knee surgery.

430lbs!!!!

I know to some that ain't $h1t, but too me it's huge. Especially because I could barely get 405 with straps before. 430 was mixed grip. Could have gone up more too but on 425lbs i ripped a callous clean off. =/

I'll be moving to Noblesville to be a financial adviser for Edward Jones in the middle of July, where's your gym at exactly? The info on Facebook?

Barbell Pendlay Row = 275 lbs for 5 reps (05/14/11)

Today was the first time I ever tried these and they felt great. ... I'm looking forward to a lot of new PRs in the near future.

Bench 350 for a set of 8. I haven't pressed that much for 8 reps. The last one was a grind.

This isn't a personal best for me but I can celebrate vicariously. My son just competed in his first shotput competition yesterday and won first place. He came 4th in triple jump. On Friday he competes in javelin and long jump.

A Red Letter day today.

Prior to starting SL, my highest squat was 1x5 @ 160#. Today was 180# 5x5, so I'm basically setting a PR each session now. I've never tried a 1RM on squat and don't want to disrupt the momentum, just keep adding 5# per session. I'm very excited that I'm not sensing a plateau, and am looking forward to the psychologically significant 200# next Thursday.

Bent-over Rows was very exciting today, did 115# 5x5, which two weeks ago was my first stall - and a big one at that, like 5-5-4-3-2. I reset to 105, started adding, and today made the 5x5 at the previous stall point. This is the first time I've ever reset and had this experience, so it is very gratifying.
