Treadmill and equipment donation

Post by sickboy » Sun Aug 17, 2008 5:10 pm

This question is totally out of place, so excuse me in advance.

Has anybody any idea how to donate a treadmill, bench, exercise equipment in New York State? One of my friends has a midrange treadmill (2.5 hp) and some benches that he has used for a couple of years. He is moving and he cannot take them. He tried to sell on craigslist, but most people do not want to pay his price. He would rather give his stuff away to somebody that needs it or would use it than sell it at this point... any ideas?

Try a boys and girls club or something similar. Some of them will take donations.

Also try a local school. They may not need all the equipment but if its anything like my old highschool they may need some better thing to replace the old crappy ones.

If all else fails use freecycle.
