Strange sensation

The other day I started a soft reset on squat (due to stalling). Since then I've been having a strange pain in my groin when doing squats. It usually occurs as a finish driving out of the hole, as I reach the top. It hurts right on the inside of my legs.

My technique is the same as before. However, the speed of the lift is faster than before because I'm still using less weight. In fact, when I intentionally do the lift slower, it seems that the pain diminishes or even goes away.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

As you increase speed in the motion your will exert more stretching on some muscles, it sounds like the gracilis and adductors (brevis, longus and magnus), or the interior muscles of your thighs/groin, are not flexible enough to keep up with the speed of you squats. I'd suggest either keeping it slow to stay within the limitations of their flexibility or increasing the amount of stretching you perform on that muscle group!

Thanks Jeff, I'll make sure to spend adequate time streching those muscles from now on.

That's cool mate! Glad to help, I've got a lot of knowledge about things, just don't put it in to practice myself! lol I too get the same inner thigh/groin thing happening now and then if I try to go into Jump Squats without stretching enough!
