Workout after a sleepless night

Post by akrekan » Mon Jun 08, 2009 6:11 am

Hi friends,

I know that sleeping makes up a big component of muscle building process. However for about ten days i could not sleep well. I saw the sun today rising without having a wink. I do not want to stop working out for one more day.

Should I workout bench, which was done the lates four days ago, after this sleepless night?

Thanks guys,

Kenan

I think you should focus on the bigger problem...not being able to sleep.

Agreed. You need to see your doctor about the sleep.

Try to take some sleeping medicine, benadryl or simply sleep (same stuff) works pretty good.

While I agree with the above...

If you still will be safe about it, I would say, sure workout.

That being said, I'm sure your CNS is absolutely fried, so I wouldn't be going too heavy. Just go in, get the blood rushing, then go to the Doc.

I've had to resort to 1-2mg of melatonin for those nights I get home from MMA class. It ends late (9-9:30) and then I have a long drive...so I get home keyed up but tired. That's enough to get me past the jumpiness.

Yeah, but he said that it's been 10 days!
