What exactly are dynamic stretches?

Stretches that use movement, rather than just tension to do the stretch. Taken to the extreme, dynamic stretches become ballistic stretches.

Any hope that dynamic stretches will be added on the site? Couldn't fight any relevant source for them on the internet.
