I think you're saying that you're concerned that Zinc will reduce the amount of Iron your body uses. Zinc and Iron are often found together in nature and the same foods supply each. Sometimes Zinc deficiencies are mistaken for Iron deficiencies so if you think you need Iron, you may want to take Zinc too. However, it is unlikely a non-vegetarian male has any problem with either zinc or iron and I've seen nothing to suggest that zinc supplementation has any negative effect on iron.

Immortal, The recent discussion on Leptin led me to a couple of references to Zinc. It seems that zinc may increase Leptin in people who are cuttting and may help prevent starvation mode. This could help you in cutting.

Protein and Omega 3 also increase Leptin.
