I fixed the link back to the main site, in the logo at the top. So it opens in a new tab now.

What do you think about changing colors of those icons for stickies with negative? They would be more visible if they were blackish.
Their text would be prettier if it was in dark blue. Black is only for funerals, but please just don't go too close to rainbow colors Image

The sticky icons are actual gif files. So I don't have control of the color. I would have to download them, alter the color in paint or other software and put them back up again. The purpose of the text being black is to make it different. Dark blue wouldn't be quite different enough.

Oh yea, there's all kinds of amusing goodness on the registration page. I made custom fields as an anti-spam tactic. So of course I couldn't resist the 3 part Monty Python and The Holy Grail reference. As well as a few other things.....

What happened to the other "Running Man" logo at the top? The current one with the white background is tacky and needs a transparant background.

Also, I fully understand the need for Ads and stuff, but WOW, did they increase about 5 fold in the last day or so? They are typically more effective if centered on the page also, and not way over on the left. And my last complaint with the ads for the moment... Why do the images scroll so fast, they are almost too fast to read and are very reminiscent of OLD Porn ads and Banners from earlier days of the internet, Not something this site wants to be associated with (I don't think).

Hi Cliff

I also have just posted about the positioning of the new advertisements in a separate thread. I hadn't considered the usability and style of the ads, which I typically mentally 'block out', except at the moment the site feels like it's carrying more advertisements than an F1 racecar and they consume most of the screen on my puny 1440x900 res computer when a new page loads.

The ads are a little disconcerting at first, but somebody has to pay the freight for this site staying up. Better them than me.

And I agree about the text of the stickies - it's almost impossible to read from a distance. Green over blue isn't enough of a contrast.

For the record, I'm not against the ads at all, I just think the ads need a facelift, both in Forum Presentation and Overall Design.

Ya bright green on white isn't the best.... What was wrong with the blue? I liked it.

The green is still too light? I'll darken it later. Ads are changing. Transparent background would work. Someone can edit that gif, or I can ask James about a transparent background.
