I don't on that either. Ask my friends who knew me when I was in my twenties and went to my car to sleep because they wanted to stay at the bar too late and I was tired;-)Never underestimate the power of individualism.
Re: explosive power
Ahhh, the 20's... I remember staying out until 2 the next afternoon drinking up a storm in Seoul, Korea. You apparently didn't drink enough cause if you had, you wouldn't have passed out in the car. hehe

Re: explosive power
I was not passed out from drinking, I always went to bed early, still do. Even now I am a joke to my friends because I have been known to kick people out of my house when it is my bedtimeyou wouldn't have passed out in the car. hehe

Re: explosive power
Haha, I live with my parents still at 27 so I always get "did mommy cut up your vegetables for you" "aww whats in your packed lunch today? where's your much bunch yoghurt?"robertscott wrote:good on you, that's the hardest thing about sticking to a diet I think. I remember my workmates used to bust my balls no end for taking my tupperware box with grilled chicken breasts and broccoli to work every day.Oscar_Actuary wrote:DM,
I'm the guy at the office, on his first week, when asked, "hey, do you wanna go to lunch with all of us, its sort of a weekly tradition. This is the [xyz] lunch club"
I pause, and say "That's alright, I'm good."
Then yea, the usual "eew cold veg!" and the infuriating "Do those protein shakes really work?" I actually started making and drinking my shakes away from the desk so people didnt ask inane questions. I wouldn't mind, but it's some sort of bizare small talk, because they never listen to my objections to such questions ("it's just food, but easier to eat than more meat"), because three weeks later its another version of the same question.
The amount of people who think protein shakes are some sort of muscle building technological breakthrough is amazing.

that's so true, the other day my dad asked if I was "still doing protein"RobertB wrote: The amount of people who think protein shakes are some sort of muscle building technological breakthrough is amazing.
it's just food godammit!
Re: explosive power
lmao yea, I've been getting all kinds of comments similar to those. One recent one I can remember 'Does it make you feel pumped up and strong?', I just laughed.
Re: explosive power
I sometimes drink part of a shake before my w/o, and save part to drink when I finish. My lifting partner and friend thinks it's funny to say in a baby voice, something like "oh, did he drink his milk?", as if there would be something wrong if it were just milk. He thinks its funny, but I haven't figured out where the humor is.

Not if you're snorting it. Maybe try drinking it in a shake and maybe he'll lay off?robertscott wrote:that's so true, the other day my dad asked if I was "still doing protein"

Re: explosive power
psst! Have you heard that Bob is using again? He even admitted it to me. Such a pity. He seems like such a fine young man.
