We've taken poor old Robert's pain and suffering and made it into a joke. We should be ashamed of ourselves. And we are. Sort of. Well, maybe a little.

I thought that "a nasty case of grout" was the high point of this thread!

By the way, Robert, how is the toe?

yeah I liked the bad case of grout too.

Damn toe is still sore! I think it's all related to the bad back and lack of core strength.

I'm a work in progress

Sore toe, bad back, lack of core strength... surely I'm not the only person who thinks these sound like symptoms of bad form?

I don't think it has to do with bad form. I think it has to do with some form of injury. I have the same issue but only with one toe. Are you overweight robert? or more heavy than your frame is recommended to be? I currently am 190 ish lbs at 5'8 if i go running my big toe on my left foot at the same spot hurts. Almost like its from the force of pressing forward I'm thinking I will need surgery cause I have been off it for awhile and then bam running makes it flare up. Makes me think its some sort of tendon injury from when I was heavier. Long story short...I'm going to the dr for it eventually but kinda against it due to the fast I like being able to walk....haha

The grout was hilarious btw you guys are very entertaining!!

na man I'm a lean, mean ass kicking machine

I'm pretty sure it's because of posture issues, foam rolling and stuff like that alleviates it

Do you foam roll your toe? Little tiny roller?

shut your pie hole, who'd ever've thought a doctor could be so insensitive to the plight of his fellow man?

You don't know very many doctors, do you?

I was hoping that you'd discovered the next big breakthrough in soft tissue therapy.

haha, actually I know several and they're all pretty insensitive.

On a serious note, a hockey ball rolled over the soles of my feet alleviates it straight away, so it must be due to some restriction somewhere.

Only problem is it keeps coming back, so although rolling my foot is providing temporary relief, it's not addressing the problem

So do you think it might be ligament damage or something like that? I know the pain in my toe gets bad while running or jumping anything where I press off of my big toe on my left foot. Never the right.

i don't know if it's tendon damage, I think just general bad posture and muscle imbalances causing restrictions.

I wish I knew more about this stuff
