It's the one where you have to pick up the barbell from the floor then put it on your back.

Thanks!

Sounds like a clean followed by a press or push press followed by lowering the bar to your back. Then if you want to call it a squat, you'll have to squat. Or a snatch followed by lowering the bar to your back, etc.

Thanks, doc, but robert got it right!

Actually I've been wanting to do it for some time, but there were always other people in the gym so I kind of hesitated :red:

BTW I want to make a program where you only need to have a barbell, just for the fun of it.

Doc was right, too.
your discription was not specific enough to exclude his answer, chap.

...and one where you twist your back into permanent disability?

C'mon... you sound almost as bad as those who say that squatting is bad for your knees.

It's core+squatting combined into one! So it must be better than squatting alone.

I've done that lift with logs before. Not 425#, but it's a lot of fun anyway.

Stu not withsanding because he's a antirotation core animal, for me, I'd look like Quasi Modo after a few sets of those.

Young man like your self, you have plenty of time to heal from spinal replacement surgery. Disregard my prior post.

Stu, I can imagine whom this lift got its inspiration from, i.e. lumberjacks.

Oscar, if you think that that's dangerous, you must haven't heard of this one

As for the age thing, make sure that you move a lot.... After all, being lazy to move around is what makes you old, and not the age itself. But I'm not sure if I got it right... you can ask stu for the exact quote.

I've done Zercher squats before, they're not as bad as they look. You get used to it pretty quickly
