Floor press vs. standard bench lockouts

Post by Christianiron.com » Wed Sep 28, 2011 12:05 pm

I just did some floor presses after a long time, and they felt pretty good. These are stricter than using a std bench for lockouts using a power rack, it seems. Do you guys use either or both? Do you have a preference? One nice thing is you can use short blocks under the bar & don't need a power rack setup

You hold the weight in a floor press. In a bench lockout the rack holds the weight.
I believe in WSB's book of methods it says somewhere that they never do bench lockouts, but I'm not sure.

I had a friend reccomend these to me for end of chest workout material. How do you feel better pump? Or overall workout?
