For toning the inner thigh, you need a wide stance with your feet pointed out a little. You can do squats that way, Pile squats, which is a wide stance squat with a single dumbbell held in front of you. Or sumo style deadlifts with 25 lbs plates. If you do straight leg deadlifts, you get a little inner thigh work from that, so you don't need too many. Just 1 or 2 sets depending on your training protocol.
