Discussing Cressey, one of his mantras is "there are not contraindicated exercises, only contraindicated people." He goes into detail in one of his shoulder saver articles about the potential anatomical differences present in different shoulders, and how they would affect one's ability to do certain exercises as safely as possible.

I think the bottom line would be that if it doesn't hurt, you can probably keep doing it.
