Re: Goals for 2012
continued steady strength improvement
a bit more adherence to training
a lot more adherence to better diet
I'm not certain which lifts will matter to me all year except a couple
Squat: BW x 3 reps
DL: 1.5 x BW x 3 reps
BW: 240 ish
2011 in review: I had no specific goals. Without a doubt though, sticking with the first year of lifting and geting the home gym, paid huge divdends towards a better outlook

Biggest goal is to join the 1000lbs club.
Back Squat: 350lbs x 1
Deadlift: 450lb x 1
DB BP: 120lbs db's x 1
Increase pull up volume.
Lose 30lbs

Re: Goals for 2012
Bench 120k (think I can do this fairly realistically thanks to 5/3/1)
Front Squat 120k (again, fairly realistic)
Hip Thrust 200k (Hmm. Think 180k is more likely)
Reach a lean, mean 200lbs. I want to be 200lbs so bad I can taste it.
Also, it would be nice to be able to pull a deadlift without crippling myself, but as long as I keep getting stronger on the three above lifts I'll be a happy Bobby

Re: Goals for 2012
After not reaching any of my goals for 2011 i'm going to make them a little more conservative this year. If i can add 10kgs to my lower body and 5kgs to my upper body lifts i'll be chuffed. So -
Squat - 160kgs
Deadlift - 220kgs+
Bench Press - 105kgs+
Breaking any of my pullup records will be on the cards also.

Re: Goals for 2012
another thing I should add is I want to get my mobility to a decent level. That's a pretty big deal for me now

EDIT: I tried to make it more readable, by sorting them in colums.
But it doesn't show in the reply.

Re: Goals for 2012
I haven't made any specific goals yet. But I guess I can join in.
Since I will probably hit 1 x 200 kg on the deadlift in a couple of weeks(was to before christmas, but delayed by illness), I guess I'll say..
Deadlift 230 kg (180 kg)
Squat 150 kg (Haven't done 1RM yet.. but I have *not* been good at focusing on this)
OHP 90 kg (Same as above.. would love 90 kg as it's 1xBW)
BP 100 kg (Doing sets of 4 with 75 kg right now)

Re: Goals for 2012
Get a 6pack (really :) - i want to see what I look underneath my fat this year)
But also
200kg deadlift (should be "easy" by end of year)
160kg squat (need to start using another gym... so depends on that)
92.5kg overhead press (82.5kg, not even sure of form) - this will be my main challenge, since my triceps are still flying up im hoping they will contribute significantly to my current push exercises
100kg bench (I used to have a god awful bench, but hit a decent 85kg last week - see tricep comment ^)
I'm pretty much on target for what Ive always wanted, to be a good portion stronger than I was when I started. Once I have given low body fat a decent go this year (mid/late feb>june) I will have the 2012 winter to round off my numbers, then I am essentially done... I wont be striving to add any significant mass, I wont be trying for +10% on my lifts, I'll be just fine tuning, maintaining, and becoming "quicker" (a martial art or sport would be great).
Strength training will always be part of my routine, a significant part - but I don't have significant goals past the end of 2012, I will have become what I was aiming for - feels close, even though its essentially 33% away and the hardest I'll have to work.

Re: Goals for 2012
@my namesake - is your bench only 10k more than your OHP?
