yes
Well, not specifically, but I have done resistance band Pull ups
I do PullDowns, Straight Arm Pulldowns, Deadlifts, Curls.
I may return to doing more Resistance Band Pull Ups later. It's not a big deal to me as long as I'm making progress in general

After a week off, I finally hit 5x5 w/ a doubled lightweight resistance band around my knee. Next week, I try it stepping on the single band.

My biceps feel awesome right now.

This time two years ago, I did 10X10 pull ups with a 5lb plate tucked into my trousers. This year, I'm happy I was able to do 5X5 without being crippled the next day. Stupid injuries :angryfire:

stuward wrote:I'm in. I've been working on my wide grip on the lat pulldown lately. I can do 3 reps at 180 so my goal will be 3 at 200. That would also put me at about 5 body weight pullups since I weight 190.
4 1/2 bw pull ups yesterday. (5 th rep only got my nose over the bar). If I get to the gym today (not a certainty), I'll try again for the 5.

Edit: I got to the gym at noon and didn't do any better on the bw pullups but I did get 3x195 on the pulldown. Not quite what I was looking for but it was close.

I realized in the gym the other day that I'm not doing "shoulder width pullups".. thinking of it, that would be really strange to do. At any rate, they're wide, but no the widest grip.

I pulled 12 on monday, so I guess I succeeded. BW 90 kg.

Going in to test for the end of the month and see if I can hit my total today. I feel good, but even if I don't hit my target - it has been really awesome to be doing as many chins as I have, and I feel treat (even though I lost a week of training in the middle of the month to a shoulder subluxation). Definitely plan on keeping the ladders in my program after this month, but Ill be using them to bring my pull-ups up & keep doing weighted chins other days.

We should do this every month!

Tested 7 ~0815 this morning. I've decreased by 1, and weigh 2kg less.
I think I'll retest tonight or tomorrow.

edit:

retested. 10. at 1815. Gave myself a 5min rest before the test.

same location, same equipment, same bw, found 3 more after the workday. happier now.

#2 edit: obvious spelling error.
#3 edit. jungledoc - i'll register my final as 10, please.

I tested yesterday, and got 13 reps, 1 more than my goal, so I was happy about that. However, when I looked up last year's results, I saw that this was equal to the end of the challenge then! So, now that goal is to keep making gains through the year, and start next year's challenge better than I finished this year's.

hit my goal of 12, tough grind on the last rep, but just managed to get my chest to the bar. Gonna start working on the overhand pull-up this month (redundant?)

Onward and upward!
