big thx to the forum (no spam)

Post by ephs » Wed Sep 19, 2012 4:26 am

i really would like to thank the admins, moderators and helpful members of this forum. i started working out at a gym of the biggest gym company in germany and was never taught the serious lifts. so i wasted my time with machines etc. now i'm getting more and more into the main lifts and they are just so much more intensive then sitting at a chest press machine or a shoulder press machine. thanks for all the advice guys!

I'll second that.

Although I do not participate much here anymore beyond lurking, my lifting career really started on these forums with the recommendations to stick with the main lifts. I was flopping about, eager to "get in shape" and really give it my all, but with no goal or even knowledge of how to form a goal.

The guys here stressed the main lifts, and that established the track I'm on now. Now I train at a powerlifting gym with real power cages, chalk, deadlifting platform, even some Oly guys come in. Thanks everyone!

I must second that! Switching to basic barbell training has been great. Also, the countless nutrition advice are very much appreciated.

Thanks all
