Re: my new favourite exercise - Full Contact Twists
Tried these today. Did high reps with bar x 5kg. I had some issues.
First off, my core didn't get fatiqued. My shoulders wore out way before the obliques. On the second set I slowed the eccentric phase down alot. It helped a little and I felt a good contraction, but still didn't really burn anything before shoulders died.
Any tips?

try standing a little further back so your arms are more horizontal, that should take some of the heat off your shoulders. You really need to twist your hips into each rep, with very little of the movement actually coming from your arms. My shoulders don't fatigue at all when doing them, except for very slightly the couple of times I've done them after training my back.

no wuckers man, it's a surprisingly hard exercise to get used to considering all you're really doing is holding a barbell and pivoting
